The film highlights the business partnership between Daniel Friedman, founder and head tailor, and clothier Rae Tutera, Bindle & Keep’s public face. Both the documentary and the company itself are committed to the idea that “fashion has no gender”—meaning that all bodies are worthy of well-made, comfortable, expressive clothing. In an era marked by anti-trans legislation and violence targeting LGBT people, it’s refreshing to see a clothing store ignore the gender binary completely in the pursuit of self-acceptance and inclusivity.
