''Shailene Woodley has always used her platform as a celebrity to speak about the issues she cares about.
The “Snowden” actress has campaigned for Bernie Sanders, has spoken out against the Dakota Access pipeline and has been an ardent supporter for the #BlackLivesMatter movement. In a new interview with Net-a-Porter’s digital magazine, The Edit, the actress addresses another cause she’s passionate about: sex education for women.
“As a young woman you don’t learn how to pleasure yourself, you don’t learn what an orgasm should be, you don’t learn that you should have feelings of satisfaction,”
Woodley said. “I’ve always had a dream of making a book called There’s No Right Way to Masturbate.” Woodley, who played a pregnant teenager in her breakout role on “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” also shared why it’s so important to educate young girls about their bodies.
